Road Skills Test

*ROAD SKILLS TESTS MAY BE TAKEN UP TO 30 DAYS BEFORE YOUR ELIGIBILITY DATE.  

*STUDENTS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR A ROAD SKILLS TEST ONCE THEY

1) HAVE HELD A PERMIT FOR AT LEAST 180 DAYS

2)HAVE REACHED THEIR 16TH BIRTHDAY 

OR

1) HAVE REACHED THEIR 17TH BIRTHDAY

 

 

  • Road Skills Test

    Road skills testing consists of an on-the-road evaluation of your knowledge of the basic operation of a vehicle as well as your mastery of driving laws and skills. You must obtain a score of 70 or above to pass. A $20 retake fee will apply if a passing score is not received. Fees for testing are non-refundable. 

    Road skills tests are offered to current Go Team Driving School students as well as students who have completed their driver's education training at another approved school.

    The road test must be taken in the Go Team Driving vehicle and will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

TO TAKE THE ROAD SKILLS TEST

  • If you are 16 years old, you must present a valid Learner's Permit and must have held a learner's permit for a minimum of 180 days. You may schedule your test on or after your 16th birthday.
  • If you are 17 years old, you must present a valid Learner's Permit and a Certificate of Completion for the Teen Driver Ed Course.
  • If you are 18 years old or older, you must present a Certificate of Completion for the Adult Pre-Licensing Course.

Be sure to have proper footwear and wear any corrective eyewear.

You must score a minimum of 70 on the road skills test. A $20 retake fee will be assessed if you receive a failing score and you must retake the test. 

* A parent or legal guardian must be present to sign consent forms for anyone under 18 taking the road test. If you are physically or mentally handicapped, you must complete your road test at the DMV.
